The Northeast Sichuan Bariatric Surgery and Anesthesia Academic Conference and the National Key Weight Loss Research Program Suining Station Unveiling Ceremony was successfully held at Suining First People's Hospital.

The "Northeast Sichuan Bariatric Surgery and Anesthesia Academic Conference and National Key Weight Loss Research Program Suining Station Unveiling Ceremony" took place on July 26 at Suining First People's Hospital. The conference was hosted by Director Lu Ruilin of Suining First People's Hospital and featured Professor Zhang Peng from Beijing Friendship Hospital, along with over 20 renowned bariatric surgery experts from Sichuan Province. During the conference, Professor Zhang Peng and Vice President Lai Jingguang of Suining First People's Hospital signed a cooperation agreement for the "National Key Research Program: Application of Precise Typing in the Treatment of Extreme Obesity," marking the official launch of the project in Suining.  

Professor Zhang Peng delivered a speech on the most common bariatric surgery—sleeve gastrectomy—sharing valuable professional knowledge and practical experience. Following this, Professor Zhang Peng and Director Lu Ruilin collaborated on a live demonstration of sleeve gastrectomy. During the surgery, they used the ELSP60 electric stapler from Beien Company for the sleeve gastrectomy, employing one green staple, one gold staple, and three blue staples from the gastric antrum to the fundus. The ELSP's excellent cutting and closing performance, strong holding power, and smooth firing process were highly praised by the surgeons.
